QUOTE(Topheavy @ Sep 12 2004, 7:24 PM) it aint abvout theives, its about how everybody does things for their own selfish reasons. and guess what- the beautiful struggle got the same score as streets disciple in VIBE and XXL. not that that means anything but im just saying you dont gotta hate so much. hmm and thief's theme not a great video? i guess lloyd bank's "Im so Fly" is a better video. Yep. Let's see...there's money, women, and cars. great video. anyways, somebody lock this post I know... such as gold diggers... and pimps and everyone else in this world... the video portrayed that well but the lyrics didn't... and Vibe and XXL's ratings don't mean sh*t to me... Talib Kweli is straight up a better lyricist than Nas... it ain't even close and Thief's Theme's video woulda been dope if the lyrics portrayed what the video was... it wasn't... Nas talks about miscellaneous stuff in a song about thieves (not literally but technically, it is about thieves) and the I'm So Fly had a MUCH doper beat and I liked the video... once again, lines like "cooler than the other side of the pillow" were wack... Banks needs to step his game up like he did before 50's album dropped... honestly, I'd rather listen to Banks mixtape sh*t BEFORE 50's album than 80% of what Nas has dropped since Illmatic and It Was Written.... and I'm sure you'd love to listen to songs like Oochie Wally more right??? here's a reminder of some of his lyrics in that song.... "Yo we got chicks in the living room Getting it on and they leaving till 6 in the morning Always for oochie Oh you ain't know How many hoes in the bankroll Sort of like like the game show Who wants to be a millionaire But my name ain't Regis Nas the one they call When they want there thing beat up Honeys' with bodies With Bravehearts guns in the party Waves, braids, and boldly, Trademarks to army Is that Horse it must be I heard he husky Yeah, there go jungle eyes red Looking for trouble And that's Nas dancing with dimes But who's his manage The imperial thug Is cold deep grand wiz We taking honeys' to the crib tonite Grantee we going up in there rib tonite Check the new slang It's changed the braveheart gang bang When you see me pass Holla oochie bang bang" I hope you had fun reading those pitiful lyrics |
