here's a quick question, how do you start up small talk? like there's this one girl i like but i can never talk to her when we're just one on one in a room or something. i can talk to her when we're in a group but not one on one. it pisses me off becuas a lotta people say i can get her but everytime when i'm with her i just choke and think my chances decrease.

if you know her name, or if you think you know her name, you could try something more along the lines of "it's (insert name here), right?" and if you're wrong, they'll correct you, if you're not they'll say yes and either they'll know your name, or you can tell them.

from there, music makes a pretty good common topic. don't even think about politics. books if you like to read, internet, classes. whatever comes to mind.
