well, i am methodist (christian) and i believe that god created the earth (or whatever the bible says) but i started thinkin'. how did he do it. i was like well i guess he was magic or something if he could do everything. and then i was like he got the Virgin Mary prego without having sex!? (it was god right?). and just started to get really technical about all the stuff. well i was talking to my friend about it, he is really godly, and he said, "if you have to think about it, and question it, than you must not believe in him." but i was like, "i do." i really do believe all that stuff, heaven, hell, jesus.
Do you think that i believe in god? (just wondering?) ------------------------ ((really weird question)) -- ![]() |

QUOTE(gerundio @ Aug 29 2004, 10:50 PM) And a Deist? Isn't that a person who believes that God created the world, but then ceased to intervene in human affairs? I don't quite agree with that, but it can explain things such as why there is suffering in the world. ... that is indeed the definition of Deism, albeit a generalized one because as there are denominations of Christianity, there are different variations of Deism as well. I prefer the definition that Deism is the belief in a Creator based on nature, and the light of logic/reasoning better than the one you've provided. |
