HHm....my friend started cutting herself and im woried
 She says that she does it to relieve her paine and suffereing, but i dunno, I've tried cutting myself before, and it hurt, so i stopped and to me, it doesn't relieve pain [IT HURTS] I want herto stop, but she said that shewants to keep doing it because it makes her feel batter Should i back off and let her do it? [im sorta backing off right now] but i still want her to stop I think its bad to cut..what do ya'll think? And Do you guys think i should back off and let her do it?

People who cut themselves obviously don't care about how much it hurts, the possible infections or the possible death... those 3 things are the reason they are doing it... plus to get attention.
Clinical Studies have already proven stuff like that to be a subconscious plea for attention from those whom the "cutter" cares about but thinks the person to not care about them [either directly or indirectly]. The only way to get your friend to stop is to get beneath the skin (no pun intended) and show this person that you do and other people do really care... no bull crap though, you must go beyond words and actually be a friend to this person... be around them, give them words of encouragement, call them randomly and let them know you were thinking about them... just try and not be stalker-esque about it. |
