cutting yourself... Options

HHm....my friend started cutting herself and im woried
She says that she does it to relieve her paine and suffereing, but i dunno, I've tried cutting myself before, and it hurt, so i stopped and to me, it doesn't relieve pain [IT HURTS]

I want herto stop, but she said that shewants to keep doing it because it makes her feel batter


Should i back off and let her do it? [im sorta backing off right now] but i still want her to stop

I think its bad to cut..what do ya'll think? And Do you guys think i should back off and let her do it?

as her friend you need to talk to her being that i was a cutter for a while i know how it feelsand you normally only end up cutting if you are in great emotional pain she probably feels alone and needs some one to talk to just to vent most of the time cuttign is the only options cutters see to vent but give her a healthy outlet let her talk with you and if you see fit then give her some help she will end up cutting deeper the more she cuts the more you cut the more you need to feel pain to relieve stress and surface cuts became not a enough very quick just be her friend thats all you can really do good luck let me know how she is doing
