friends vs. boy., the big showdown Options

Okay here’s how it is:
-My ex wants to get back with me.
-and i'm considering getting back with him because i think there's still something there, if you know what i mean..
-but my friends don't like him because they think he's a jerk and that he's too sensitive.
-and he doesn't like them because he thinks they're too judgemental/critical of him.

but i know that if i do get with him, it's gonna be awkward, but i like him and my friends are the best friends in the world and it's just confusing, what should i do?
