I'm curious. What do "normal" people think of band geeks? What do you think we really do at band camp? Do you think it takes hard work to do what we do? Do you consider marching band a sport or an athletic?

I admire you! Wonderful speech, just speaks about every single word I want to say. For the people who said we're "just playing music," that is SOOOOO wrong. I'm really stressed, because it's just my first year and they intend to jam everything in my head. I have to march, practice this hard music that's like 2-4 levels higher than me...
Not to mention I can't march well still, right about now. And I can't comprehend on the commands as fast, nor can I play the music 100%. >< If being in band means you're a "geek" then at least it takes hard to be a band geek. It looks harder than it is, and it already LOOKS HARD! |
