Hotspots are the places in youre banner/ layout that you want to have links on. You can use Cutemap to map whatever you want. It's easier, or if you have Imageready, you can use that. You can download Cutemap to map images if you want... there's even a tutorial to map images using Frontpage. Here's the link.
