'k.
My friend is like REALLY botherin' me w/ this math problem rite now... and it's buggin' me out... literally. As I do not know the answer myself, so I am wonderin' if the kind people @ CreateBlog could help! Why is it important to put the numbers in order? [As when finding the median.] ::edit:: That title isn't really helpin' me out... is it? Confuses some pplz it does. The question was that why is it that you have to put the numbers in order from least to greatest or vice versa? Why must you put in order? (I know how to find the mean, median, mode, and range. So if you're 'bout to answer among the lines of that... don't answer.) |

wow you need to chill the F out. isn't it obvious? you know what median is, so look at it logically honey. you want to find the middle because with both mean, median, and mode, you're trying to find ONE number out of the set to represent the whole thing. if you find the MEDIAN it's basically more or less around that number. it's' not CRUCIAL to use median. mean is always the most accurate form of representation, but median works too, just not as accurantly. so to answer your question, the median is found in order for someone to represent a set of numbers. and next time you act like a goddamn four year old DEMANDING answers from us in a tantric fit, say THANK YOU when someone gives you the answer.
