exorcism Options

recently, the topic that has caused much ado in my thoughts is exorcism. now i've watched alot of "driving away of demons" from humans in recent home videos as well as researched to enough extent to form a thesis. Exorcism, is somewhat real yet fake. the "demons" in the victims body could somewhat be a "demon" in some real cases but in some cases its just a bunch of hoodlums. i need an extra opinions on exorcism to concluded a conclusion. what is your opinion on this catholic ritual?

"Demons" is a broad term. Demons could be beings that possess people or it could be the bad characteristics of oneself. Exorcism could be just a cleansing or renewal of a person.

I don't believe in it. I think people just make excuses for their wrong doings. For example, Person A kills Person B because Person B cheated on Person A. People find out, Person A blames the Devil for possessing him and that the Devil made him do it. It's just like the Salem Witch Trials, people accuse others as witches because they detest them and want them to be trialed and finally killed.

Exorcism is used to cast such "spirits or Demons" from a person. This ritual makes the person feel free of sin and pure. People do sins and they just blame it on the Devil or these ethereal beings.
