love, why's the word thrown around so loosely Options

this has been bugging me for a lonnnng time. proably since about grade 5, when we all started dating and having our fun little boyfriends and girlfriends. i just never saw how it was possible that after going out with somebody for one or two weeks (or even days), you could absolutely love them.

i see this everywhere, even to this day. seriously, hardly any of the people who announce it daily on their sn's, journals etc, actually know what love is.

does this piss anyone else off. i don't believe that the majority of us could actually have the opportunity of falling in love in our teen years. i'm not saying it couldn't happen, of course it could. but not in the large percentage that everyone is claiming.

It's just extremely annoying because if this word is being used so often, what the hell will we say in the future when we actually love someone with all our heart?

I can understand why people think that love is thrown around alot. ALot of people use it like magical words that will get you laid or something.

I always believed that love is jsut one of those things where you cant fully describe it. When your in love you just know you are. You either have it or you dont.

I too get annoyed when young kids use it and think they know what i means... But honestly maybe at 12 or 13 love is exactly what they feel. When i was thirteen i loved a girl because she was hot and because we talked. Thats all i knew about love. Love was just a really big urge for someone. Then around 15 i started to mature and believe that love was one of those things where you have a strong attraction to their looks but also their personality. And now at 17 i believe that love is that unbreakable bond to a person for who they are, and that love is something that always has to be worked at. I cant describe the feelings or emotions of love. But when i was in love it was a powerful feeling and i never want to let the feeling go...I guess what im trying to say is that at 12 and 13 kids use the word love because all their emotions are stretched to its max and that they feel that the word love fits in to that description. And as people grow thier views of love change and start to form and thats where the word love becomes less used, however when its used, its more felt. As we grow up its not that we werent in love before, but maybe because our love grew...So maybe when we were young and when we used the word love, we actually meant it, but now that we're grown we also know that there was much to learn about this feeling we call love.

For those who ask me what love is, i give them a straight answer and say that love is one of those things that cant be described... That love is just so big and so powerful that putting the emotions and feelings of love into words just wouldnt do it justice.

I do know however that when you fall in love with someone, that the love you have for them grows with each passing time. That your love for them will be more then yesterday but less then tommorow.
