I need some hours so I can have something to put on my college application.
So how does the whole hours thing work? Does it depend on your school? You go to the volunteering place, do some work, then what? Just put whatever amount you did when you fill it out? If so, then how do they know you're not lying?? Or do you need to tell your school? Thanks. And just out of curiousity, what kinds of things did you guys volunteer for? ![]() |

well.. if you're gonna volunteer, don't do it with a grudge...
i chose an art museum cuz i love art! then, just get your supervisor to print out the document with your hours and days and the school should be fine with that (unless the school provides you with an official form). just do it in a place where you think you'll enjoy doing work for without pay. hehe... the musuem i volunteered at was pretty cool cuz they gave me free admissions all the time and discounts in their stores. my sister was too lazy to do anything so she "volunteered" by reading to my blind aunt. ^^; then my aunt wrote a letter to the school, stating that she actually helped her out and all that.. iono if that gonna work in your school.. but anyway.. there's a ton of stuff to do out there! |
