Should schools make their crappy ass lunches? or should they just order from restaurants?

Well cafeteria food is cheap. What else do you expect? You get what you pay for. I mean i seriously doubt any public high school staffs only "chefs". That would be more expensive to staff those kinds of people. They probably hire who ever can press the "on" button for stoves/fryers. That, usually, are stay at home moms. We actually get chinese food every WED. Although the price from school lunch to chinese food more than doubles. Plus schools are required to keep their lunches healthy and not too fattening. I remember when they took off the chicken sandwich because it was unhealthy. I suppose schools that dont have restaurant foods just dont want to deal with all that nutrition stuff. Now i just read an article about taking away soft drinks and vending machines in jr high and high school.
As for me, I eat w/e is in the vending machines and chinese on WED. I'll occasionally eat school lunches. Only if i didn't eat dinner last night. ![]() |
