so i got this thing in the mail saying that i was invited to travel and study in Japan with a group of other kids for 2 weeks because i got recommended... or something. and i reaaallly wanna go to Japan but the letter didn't give much information, it practically just said that i was invited to this meeting for information. but i really don't want to waste my time if i end up finding out i have to pay for this program!
so advice? or has anyone heard of or been apart of the People To People Student Ambassador Program? ![]() |

I was invited to that.
I didn't go, I thought mine was going to DC for a course in leadership, and some important policitian was going to talk to us there. I didn't look much into it, probably should have. I was also was part of the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth talent search, where they had the kids who scored on the 97th percentile or higher of some certain big test we took take the SAT. I did that, took the SAT, and got a high enough score to do lots of their summer programs, but they've all passed now, and my parents said it was too much money to go to those places. :( And also there was thing for being in the gifted class (SIGNET, but i don't know if your school calls it that) that I could go for two weeks to some place - oh wait, i think that was an early form of your Student Ambassador thing |
