Do you believe in the traditional view that a guy should never hit a woman? If you do believe that does it still count if she's twice your size?

It's wrong to hit ANYONE without a reason. My friend hits her boyfriend all the time on the head HARD and I wouldn't be surprised if he slaps her one day.

Since girls want EQUALITY among the sexes, they should expect to be hit by a guy if they made the first move. I believe that chilvalry still exists of course, so if one guy hits a girl in public, that guy has a high chance of being beat up by other guys.

*ahem* anyways.. is there realli any reason that merits hitting? oh, perhaps in self defense, but beyond that I can't think of any other reason..

Meh.. I agree with your equality reasoning.. but I still wouldn't hit a girl.. (although I have before because of martial arts training, but like stated above, they were expecting it)

The main issue at hand here is realli the societal standard (partly chivalry I suppose) that says guys hitting girls is wrong, but not the other way around

Um.. no offense Fae, but you did kinda set yourself up for the response..
The retaliation part sounds like you're stereotyping that guys are always stronger than girls and will hurt them if they retaliate.. which probably true the majority of the time
However.. in the initial question posed by the thread starter..

In that situation, so what if they retaliate? If the girl still beats the crap out of the guy.. is that right?
