ok, so yeah, i submitted ONE xanga skin. i've made many to date, but i've only submitted ONE and it has been accepted. i'm happy and proud of that...but UGH!!!

yeah...so the skin i submitted can be found here. it was made by request by this random girl who IMed me one day asking for an ashlee simpson layout. and i thought why not?? i mean...i wasnt very busy at the time..
so i took on the task, and i made it. and she was ecstatic. then she told me not to submit it. altho i never flat out said no i won't, i never said i wouldn't. and i had no intention to...

until one day i realized she had another new xanga she had just made. and she was only updating that one. so as someone with common sense, i decided she was no longer using it. and i didnt want to let all my hard work go to waste, so i submitted the skin. did i ask her for permission?? why should i? it's my skin, i made it, i put my time into it, it's my property....

anyway, she just told me she doesnt feel special anymore. pfft....

if you're requesting layouts you can't be so damn selfish about it. if you want your own personal layout, learn to make your own.

so from here on out, i really want people to keep this in mind about me...
+ i do take requests. but only if you have a theme in mind AND if i have the time
+ i don't make personal layouts anymore. you request something from me and i don't know you, expect to see it in the xanga skins forum like everyone else. i will PM/IM you to let you know it's there, but it's also available to the rest of the world.
+ i prefer to talk to people here through CB (PM). i used to talk to people through AIM for layout requests, but too many strangers IMing me...

just remember that when people agree to make a layout for you that they're taking time out of their schedule just for you. so don't be selfish
