what would be the best way to solve the obesity problem in the US?

Make physical education compulsary (and strict!) and have it minimum 2 times a week.

That's it? My school has it every day. 5 unprepareds = fail for the marking period = summer school for gym [1 mp failed = 2 1/2 hours each day for 6 days] and the state of new jersey (where I live) requires you to have gym all four years of high school in order to graduate.

this might be insensitive, but i think people that are over-weight only have themselves to blame, no one can make them eat, they put the food in their own mouths. People just need to practice self-control, if you eat then exercise, you are not going to be fat, that's just a fact of life.

Not necessarily true, some people have disorders and things that make them overweight/obese. And before a certain age, parents are responsible for feeding and making food for their kids. A kid who gets healthy meals and fruit and vegetables will be better off when they're older than one that eats lunchables and chef boyarde.

but i think...they should have a treatment for obesity...so they can learn not to eat a lot of junk foods every day and nite. kinda like a boot camp u know watta my sayin`?

Well I'm guessing that's what fat camps are for?
