For me it would have to be Nintendo. Nintendo is a 115 year old company now and they've been manufacturing greatness since the 80's. All of the consoles and handhelds they have released to date have been successes, with the exception being the virtual boy, as it was just something to keep the public entertained until Nintendo 64 came out. Not just hardware, software too. Nintendo games have been arguably some the best games of all time.
In my opinion, Sega comes in a close second. If they hadn't made some business blunders, Sega would still be around now, probably ahead of Sony. The only reason the playstation franchise was formed was because of a grudge against Nintendo. When Nintendo cancelled the Sony cd drive for the SNES in favor of the Phillips CD-I for SNES, Sony got pissed off and made the PlayStation. Microsoft sucks. The earlier companines were good but they had one flaw: They all went out of business because they were too fixed on bringing arcade games to the home rather than develop new and innovative games. Unlike the past, it costs millions of dollars to develop a hit videogame, that's why we're not seeing as much competition as there was in the earlier years. |

QUOTE(grapplefan @ Jul 24 2004, 11:45 PM) can anyone tell me why virtual boy failed? Not good advertisement i think...not many people liked the idea of a red game... QUOTE So..you're saying Microsoft is the best company...#%*@ that! Hey they the ones brought you windows and computers =/ the xbox will squash GC and GB and GBA and GBA SP and any other G in the world.QUOTE Wow...all of you people saying Sony and Microsoft, I have a question. Have any of you actually played SNES or NES or anything outside of the next generation systems? There's a lot more out there, and about 90% of the old games are better than the next generation games out there now. I think you are stuck in the past dude. .edit//look at this QUOTE It's not fake you Americans. It's real, I even have one in my house right now at this moment. I'm staring at it right now.
With PSX you can download photos from the internet or from the memory stick of your digital camera. You can play any kind of cd. Built in HDD and it has all the connections so it's just plug and play. Plug in directly to your computer. Two a/v outputs. There are two versions. A 5000 and a 7000. The only difference is the mb. The 7000 has 250 mb. I forgot what the 5000 has because I don't own it. Built in infrared for the dvd remote, just like on the Playstation 2 Scph-50001. It has a tv guide in it for some reason. Since mine is the Japanese version, it shows Japanese television show. I don't know how the American version is gonna be like but be prepared to pay big bucks. And the PSX Console is so darn heavy, you better hope that you don't drop it after you buy it. Japanese Costs for PSX: Sony PSX 5000 - 63,000 yen. Around $600 usd Sony PSX 7000 - 80,000 yen. Around $800 usd PSX pwns all other consoles, especially xbox. |
