This is from a Christian perspective.
We have a big responsibility here. God has given us sexuality. He instructs us concerning our sexuality. We are men. The vast majority of us have strong sex drives. How do we honor God with that? Specifically, how do we honor God when we are alone, and desire sexual gratification? We will answer this. To answer this, we must first understand the dynamics of masturbation. It is my opinion, that masturbation includes the following: Sexual urges Sexual thoughts Sexual pleasure When you combine those elements together, lust results. Now, some claim they think about happy thoughts and not sexual thoughts. If this is you, please refrain from trying to argue in this thread. 99% of men think sexual thougths while masturbating (also, married men, please do not ask if masturbation is ok for you). My goal is to find sound instruction for the vast majority of single men. So again, lust is a result of those three elements combined. The verses I will post focus on three main topics: Self control Your old nature Sexual immorality I will list the topic and the verses in different posts. If you have a problem with one of the three aspects, then quote the post that talks about it, and present your ideas. Let's try to behave decently with each other.
