I have to buy a new laptop for my Graphic Design College classes. The problem is, we (my mother and I) are faced with 2 options. It is recommended to get a g4 ibook, but if money allows, teachers want you to get a g4 Powerbook. My roommate tells me that the ibook will run just as fast as the Powerbook if extra memory is added. Does anyone have any knowledge or comments on this, or the two laptops in general?

Powerbook is quite faster, more elegant (In my opinion), includes much more functionality, and is pretty much the staple laptop for any Graphics application, (Mac>PC in this department.)
If money is not an object, go with the Powerbook. If you're on a tighter budget, by all means, go with the iBook, it's still a great, and viable, option. -'Strom |
