A New Dawn

I'm in the murky water, where nothing is that clear.
I hear his voice and can tell he is somewhere extremely near.
I push off the bottom floor and soar up to the top.
I take a look around--but stop!
Over yonder, by the shore stands a man dressed in white.
He calls again and now I know, tis his voice the is delight.
Swimming toward my freedom I stop and take a look.
At the place I was I was before, where I always was a crook.
I shudder off the memories.
My Past, My thoughts are gone.
For now those are behind me
And I am ready for a new dawn.
