how many people here play some sort of musical instrument? if you do, how long have you been playing and how did you learn?
i've been teaching myself piano for about 3 years and my friend just started teaching me how to play the guitar a few weeks ago.

i play piano (like everyone else here). started when i was five, almost 11 years now
 and i play violin but i suck... 8 years of violin does nothing. especially if you dont take private lessons. so if youre planning to take up an instrument for school...private lessons are a good idea
