For me it would have to be Nintendo. Nintendo is a 115 year old company now and they've been manufacturing greatness since the 80's. All of the consoles and handhelds they have released to date have been successes, with the exception being the virtual boy, as it was just something to keep the public entertained until Nintendo 64 came out. Not just hardware, software too. Nintendo games have been arguably some the best games of all time.
In my opinion, Sega comes in a close second. If they hadn't made some business blunders, Sega would still be around now, probably ahead of Sony. The only reason the playstation franchise was formed was because of a grudge against Nintendo. When Nintendo cancelled the Sony cd drive for the SNES in favor of the Phillips CD-I for SNES, Sony got pissed off and made the PlayStation. Microsoft sucks. The earlier companines were good but they had one flaw: They all went out of business because they were too fixed on bringing arcade games to the home rather than develop new and innovative games. Unlike the past, it costs millions of dollars to develop a hit videogame, that's why we're not seeing as much competition as there was in the earlier years. |

Or SQUARENIX Which ever you prefer. They are the biggest rpg selling company in the WORLD. So far, Their final fantasy series has yet to fail. They also made Kingdom hearts, and are still developing numbah two! That will be great. Square currently makes the BEST FMV's for games. Ever. In my opinion, they will not seize to amaze. haha yes the old days. When everything you could get for around 30 bucks. Awesome. Well, I'd have to say Sega. They sold a record breaking amount of dreamcasts. IF they'd waited a little while longer, say 2 or 3 years, they would've beat sony. Dreamcast was the first to also introduce online play with consoles. They also had the first 16 bit console ( i dunno if thats true i just made that up ). They still live on with their great sonic games and shows. Third: Half life. Yes. You heard me. Half life. This title beats every first person shooter ever made. Half life takes home many awards: most mods for one game, first first person shooter game to be modded into a racing game, most played game (next to everquest), game of the year (1999), and COOLEST TITLE!! Fourth: One word. HALO. In your response, Kryogenix. Nintendo is too old to be alive. They should die. |
