should i still hold on?, or should i just move on... Options

my bf nd i broke up a week ago cuz my parents didnt really ''approve'' of him nd they sorta ''threatened'' him to break up w/me or else sorta thing.. nd its really f**ked up.. let along it was so embarassing too.. but anyway.. i just couldnt accept reality and just.. acknowlege the fact that we broke up.. but we talked nd all and everytime i always end up crying and telling him that i cant let go nd just forgot.. and one day.. (2 days ago) he got totally fed up with me and yelled at me for tourturing him with all the whinings.. he said that i should really move on.. and that even tho he doesnt want to see me w/someone else.. he still wants me to move on nd find someone better.. and he also told my best friend that he will not move on until i do.. but all the while..he flirts with this chick right in frnt of my face.. they would get all heated up and he would look so happy.. and then he tells me that he still has feelings for me but he would try not to.. and that it would take him a long time to get over me.. so im just confused.. cuz i really love him.. and i dont know if i should stay nd wait for him (when i get further in life.. such as getting a job) or just move on nd see other guys.. the problem is that i dont kno if he really means it when he said that 'i wont move on till u do' and i dont wana hurt him by going out w/another guy.. so im kinda stuck... HELP!!

i kinda agree to black_cloud10 maybe ur X bf is on the same path like u do too..but he's jsut afraid that he might hurt u if u see him hitting on the other girl.. im sure he's having a hard time too so i guess u should give him a break for awhile..

but anyhooo.. Sometimes if its really over its really over... and i guess all we gotta do is to start all over again.. Yes, there's no doubt about it... parting gives us a lot of sorrow, especially if it is forever. But then goodbye is really just another way of saying Hello. We move on and on. Goodbye may mean a lot more Hello's. So we have to let go and we should know when to finally end up.
Saying goodbye doesn't mean forgetting the person you've loved before. It's the relationship, memories and hope that you should let go. Goodbye doesn't mean it's the end of the world. But instead it's a new beginning. New challenges that's full of hope. As if like you're looking on the other phase of your life.
Remember... Life is wonderful and full of challenges and opportunities. The only thing you should do is how, when and where a decision must come up. Don't let the memories stop you from seeing the sunshine again. Just don't live your life to the shadow of your past. Try to see the horizon of the future and you'll discover the Wonder of Life.
