My school has been thinking about having year round school. The vacations and breaks are longer, but there is no summer. You still have the same amount of school days but year round. They want to do this so kids don't "Forget things over the summer" and when one grade is over, it's on to the next a week later.
What do you think? |

QUOTE only read the top part.. and gotta say... HELL NO we kids need a break >< Year round schooling would give you shorter but more frequent breaks QUOTE I personally would HATE it. Considering its summer and everything, you arent going to be paying attention or anything because its too hot to concentrate. And even with the short breaks, we're still gonna forget all the stuff we learned and the teachers will have to reteach it. wheres the logic in that? What if you live way up north or something where it isnt hot in summer? ![]() If we forget stuff with just short breaks.. think of how much we forget with long breaks.. in many classes the first several weeks are spent just reviewing the stuff we forgot over the summer.. year round schooling would eliminate or at the very least, diminish the need for that |
