MY SKIN CODE ISNT WORKING!!!!...someone help, its almost done, just not working, and.. Options

ok ...heres the deel, i wanted to create my own skin, and i cant get it to work, well...i can...but not fully, i cant get the <!-- rectangle1 --> thingy to work...the rectangle is the area if someone clicks then it brings u somewhere else...like a link, but that isnt working for any of the "rectangles" codes i used, then the whole xanga, like my entries and stuff, and comments and the main stuff, is below the pic i want to use for my skin, please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...if it was confusing at all the way i stated that, let me know so i can tell u in a better way...im just sssoo frustrated...
