People these days seem to against interracial dating, especially between Asians and whites. Is there something wrong with dating someone with a different skin color or ancestry?

ethnocentrism.. that's a good word.. but nah there's nothing wrong with that.. you can't blame just an specific group coz some people are just plain all prejudice.. they think their race is superior so they do a lot of hate crimes.. also parents play a role too.. i mean they tell you who or not to date as a young kid.. of course is bad to disobey your parents so you end up doing what they tell you to do..

i said some are not ethnocentric to that extent... they dont think they're superior persay... they do however generally just stick to their own ethnic group. it doesnt mean their racist it just means they feel more comfortable with their own.

just because you prefer to date one race more than another, doesnt make you racist against the other race.

i know a lot of caucasian guys that prefer asian women.. because they think they're prettier and are generally more "wild" because their parents had protected and sheltered them all their lives...

i kinda think this is true... but the fact that i think asian females are prettier than caucasian females isnt racism ... its an opinion. there is a big difference.
[edit: i'd just like to add that, again, since the definition of racism is 'the strong or irrational fear or hatred towards an entire ethnicity or race," and the sentence above wasnt said with any hate or fear towards people who arent asian, i'm not being racist]

when did hate crimes come in here? there have been examples of hate crimes from every race towards every other race, so dont make it seem like asians are the ones most likely to.... just because some have occured, doesnt make the entire race prejudiced.
