What is the HTML code that allows you to maintain the text structure of a written script? For instance, on this board I believe you you quote the script in

For instance, if you have a lookat this page, you can see scripts like < b > t e x t < / b > without the spaces, and yet the text does _not_ transform into bold text. Is there some special code for this? I need it to display a certain HTML script on my site.
