Granted this is most likely to try and stop pirating of music/movies/ect. I assume it would make it easier to shutdown sites (permanently and with greater penalty) like pirate bay and other torrent sites. As well as streaming sites. So in that sense they have every right to pass the bill.
I have a legit fear of people trying to heavily censor and control the internet. As well as running it similar to the way they run TV (you pay this much for these channels, but have to pay this much extra for those channels). Maybe I am just paranoid. |
