I wasn't allowed to take French at my high school. D: HI TEESA! Sorry I haven't really been responding on Facebook. I don't really check it often. How're you? Oh, you went to a French school in Calgary? Lucky. I moved to Toronto partway through high school so a guidance counselor said it was too late for me to start beginner French. I took French in university but wow, oral French teacher was terrible. :( I've been wondering, how exactly does French-language education work in Canada? I have several friends from Vancouver and Edmonton who know French because they had to take it in high school, and some from Ontario (mainly Toronto and the surrounding area) who also took it then, but I also know some who never had to take French. None of them are really proficient, except for one who's fluent because she attended a French immersion school (jealous!). |
