California's Proposition 8, which introduced an amendment to the CA constitution that forbid gays and lesbians from marrying, was overturned by the CA State Supreme Court on the grounds that it is unconstitutional. (The case is being appealed to the 9th Circuit.)

Issue is with majority rules, sometimes the majority is f*cking stupid. When you compare the 2 arguments, there just seems to be a clear winner imo.
