So upon the release of Lady Gaga's latest video, "Alejandro," Katy Perry posted on her Twitter account, "Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke."
So which videos/singer do you prefer -- videos about faux lesbianism or ones that feature latex outfits and swallowed rosary beads? |

you say she's not special, yet there are people out there who are still shocked by her eccentricity. she's making theatricality mainstream, and that in itself is a big deal. it doesn't matter if half the world has seen it already; the other half obviously wasn't ready for it yet.
and with popular artists, that's how it usually goes. the producers and people who are really responsible for her success will stay in the background, while the artist or icon head gets the glory. that's just how it is. |
