there's this quote going around on tumblr that sort of annoys me.

I don’t hate sluts/whores. I pity them. They’re mistaking lust for love. Once they get old, no one will “love” them anymore. That is, until they figure out what love really is. Good luck.

do you think this is true? i don't. i'm pretty sure everyone knows the difference between lust and love. it's just a choice you make whether to go for one or the other. or both. or maybe you just like sex and want to have fun. why does love even have to fit into the equation?

Being promiscuous says absolutely nothing about your incentive for doing so in the first place so that quote has zero basis for presuming someone who sleeps around is looking for anything more than fleshly pleasure.

It's one of those instances where someone takes the obvious (in this case, how being too easy can be something you'll regret later), rewords it as a novelty in an attempt to sound profound and deep, and somehow f*cks the entire point up in the revising process.
