Do y'all have friends who will shit all over the internet because they're "too old for it" or "they can have face to face interaction, don't need internet to meet people," etc?
I've met plenty of awesome people (f****ts too) via the interwebz, lots of conversation happens, lots of interests explored, lots of music spread around, lots of information and just overall communication skills via text developed. I've got a friend who's 23 who likes to shit on forums and shit (albeit she's a good person and not a moron, just closed minded to certain shit) [btw shit theme going on, shit] and when I'm talking to her on aim using acronyms and shortcuts commonly used on the internet she explains she doesn't understand what I'm trying to say because she's "too old." Bullll shit. |

My mom knows the acronym stuff... she types up text messages faster than I do. I do think, though, that some people become a little too dependent on Internet. I know a few people who would probably have a mental breakdown if they couldn't get on Facebook for a couple of days. And I'm sure there are some people who wouldn't know how to find their answer to their question without Google.
