would you consider converting from your current religion to be with someone who is of a different religion? or for people who are atheist, would you reconsider being religious if you were interested in someone who was religious? also if you are theist would you ever date or consider dating someone who is atheist?

I'm atheist, but I do respect what others believe in. I don't really have the right to tell them to not believe in something. However, I believe that if I don't have the right to do so, then they, too, would not have the right to tell me to believe in something. I can safely say that my girlfriend and I don't really have any arguments over religious issue. If something does come up or happens to slip, I can just ignore it. And if she wants to believe in something, then I should accept that, but it doesn't mean I have to believe in it myself. Also, she would need to accept that I'm atheist, just as I accept that she is theist. Nawmean?
Additionally, I think that my concept also applies to family members. Most of my family is Christian, but they don't force me to be Christian if I don't want to be. They can still pray and worship and I don't mind, just as long as they don't mind me not praying or worshiping. |
