( Didn't know where to post this.. if it's in the wrong, please move my topic no worries )
I've always just used Createblog to host my layouts but now I want to grow and have my own website but I'm having trouble understanding some of the website lingo and exactly what it does, etc... like 'cpanel' what it is in exact and what does it do (in easy to understand terms) I'm a monster at coding but when I went to sign up for a website I just couldn't choose one because I don't know what's the best place Help pleaaasee |

i know i need to register a domain name
and i know that i need to select a package but i'm just confused as to how everything works after that where i go to edit it, what all the website lingo means very new territory for me so basically cpanel allows you to have your basic website then able to click over to other links while in the same domain in sub sites so to speak...? *edit -------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it bad to have only one Cpanel account for a website? like if the website is selling things like image packs, layouts, etc. and has a log in feature for people to log in... is one Cpanel account enough for a website like i am describing? --------------------------------------------------------------------
Reason for edit: Please use the Edit button instead of double-posting. - Mike

*edit -------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it bad to have only one Cpanel account for a website? like if the website is selling things like image packs, layouts, etc. and has a log in feature for people to log in... is one Cpanel account enough for a website like i am describing? -------------------------------------------------------------------- The amount of cPanel accounts a person owns is not related to how many files can be hosted on a website. That is determined by what sort of hosting plan you choose to buy. What you need to be asking is, how much disk space and bandwidth would a site like that need? Now that, you'll have to decide for yourself. |
