how do you feel about this? does it ring true or are we still at fault? i think the majority of us would agree kids are f*cked up nowadays. even people in their early 20's like me feel that kids are f*cked up and that it's a world apart from how it was when we were kids. what happened? or is this just how it works, and we are forever destined to think the generation in below us is f*cked? at what point does it get to be too messed up? now we hear stories of 5th graders giving head in the bathroom or other bizarre sounding events. regardless of whether my generation was f*cked up at 11 years old, that's not the kind of f*cked up people were complaining about i don't think. how important is this and how is it going to shape our world? how big an effect does the loss of innocence have. i'm not talking completely about sex, but i guess sex related is just a good example. i'm more talking about the fact that it seems like kids have an increasingly more narrow frame of time to be kids. is it going to go to the point where they don't have a childhood hardly at all?

I agree with most of the stuff here but I mean, it can't be just the families themselves. There are more outside influences as well. These would probably include gangs, drug traffic, and most likely, the media. Members in gangs are out searching for kids as young as 11 years old to join them in their crimes, drug traffic heightens risk of drug abuse in young children and more adolescents, and the media (or more specifically, movies and T.V. shows and such) displays more inappropriate and/or illegal content than it used to (if it did at all). I mean, some adults are even being as careless as the kids who are doing stupid shit too.

I may not seem like one to speak (since I am a young teenager), but I don't really do most of that stuff. Of course I know that it goes on because I, of course, know people that do things as such. It just seems like society just got too carried away and irresponsible.

However, you should also realize that there are some people that don't do stupid shit on purpose. Some people are actually f*cked up in the head (in other words, people who are mentally sick and/or insane) and don't know what they're doing.

Also, more and more young children are probably starting to feel like they can handle really big responsibilities that an adult should be handling because of how much they're pushed to be smarter and more mature. However, you can't deny that children don't really know how to be mature (at least, like an adult). Children will always be rebellious either way or another, unless, I guess, parents, guardians, and/or supervisors start to give a damn. Oh, and, unfortunately, some adults that are careless enough to let children do what they want are actually proud of the stupid shit those children do.

I also have a feeling that other adults that do care and do want to help are also kind of being... bystanders. They're probably afraid of what might be the outcome -- a hellhole of people rebelling or a mannerly, proper, organized group of fine citizens who abide by the law. And chances are, with today's society, it'd just be people rebelling. Actually, either way, people rebel. Why? I believe it's just human nature to do whatever the f*ck we want because we feel like we're superior or some shit like that.

none of that would matter if the parents would keep an eye on their children

you're part of the broken generation.

However, you should also realize that there are some people that don't do stupid shit on purpose. Some people are actually f*cked up in the head (in other words, people who are mentally sick and/or insane) and don't know what they're doing.

often a result of not being raised properly.

Also, more and more young children are probably starting to feel like they can handle really big responsibilities that an adult should be handling because of how much they're pushed to be smarter and more mature. once again, problem with the parents

a bunch of kids can't do shit to a bunch of adults.
