So I posted about this quite awhile ago and nothing really got settled.
My problem is the image quality of my graphics when I upload them to CB verses their actual quality. Many of my icons/graphics look far better on my computer or uploaded somewhere else. Particularly the richness of colors and sharpness.

Here are some examples...
The first is uploaded to CB, the second is uploaded to photobucket.

Again here:

And I just tried to upload some of the new ones I made, but as soon as I uploaded them I had to edit them and ask them to be rejected because the colors were so far off.
I've had a number of my icons rejected because of poor quality not caused by me.

How can this be fixed?
(thanks)

You're going to lose quality in your work no matter what you're doing. You just have to become accustomed to it. Obviously it's more noticeable if you're using a lot of color information.

Also, you're submitting jpegs to cb and png to photobucket. jpegs lose quality everytime that you save them.

Common misconception. jpegs lose quality every time you compress them, which is what CB is doing.

And if I'm not mistaken, CB converts all images, regardless of file type, to jpgs. More likely than not, that's what's causing the color distortion and sharpness issues.

So OP. save the pictures as uncompressed .jpg, and not .png. That way CB doesn't have to do the conversion that's f*cking up your color information.

and if you're using cymk, use rgb instead. same vice versa.

Yes, the images were uploaded as .png's, not .jpg. And alright, I'll try that. I use rgb, do you mean I should use cymk for icons to upload?
