Apple Jan 27th Event Options

It's like 99.9% positive that Apple will release a tablet product today. What are your expectations of this rumored tablet?

I am hoping that it doesn't exceed the $1000 mark. I hope that it has over a 2.6Ghz processor. I hope that it's integrated graphics don't suck. I hope it has an internal media drive and a webcam. I'm hoping to buy one, if it doesn't have these things, which I consider the minimum, then they can forget it. haha.

I'm not sure what else they imagine covering for the rest of the event. I hope they don't make it boring with ipod touch games. -_-

In regards to multi tasking, yall need to figure out what you mean by multi tasking, and what yall really do that is considered multi tasking. I'm a bit disappointed too that apps aren't continuously running simultaneously, but the home button acts more like a 'minimize' than 'close' button.

iPhone/Touch doesn't use tabs for internet, but all you do is swipe between pages. If I need to check any other apps (email, facebook, notes, etc), hit the home button and go there. I click back to safari and all my pages are still there. The same works with any other app. No information is lost (with the exception of games that don't support instant saving upon exiting). You open it and you start where you left off. It seems like they never close.

The apps that do run while using other applications are the iPhone and the iPod. I could be playing a game or google mapping while talking on the phone or listening to music.

The one thing I do find annoying though is that I can't quickly message a friend back on aim or via text without leaving my current app. Before anyone says told you so, I'm just annoyed of the inconvenience of the convenient home button. The iPhone/Touch screen small enough that perhaps I just should see every app individually.

iPad doesn't come out for another two months. Maybe they'll work a way around these inconveniences. Maybe we won't need to use net apps cause damn, its a browser the size of a browser.

What I'm certain is, Geohot or someone else will jailbreak iPad and then we can get that backgrounder app that lets us run every damn app at once, and those quick reply apps for texting and messaging for those of you who know wtf I'm talking about.

The good news is that the iPad runs the same iPhone 3.2 OS, so it may be incredibly easy. It probably won't be on the 05.11.07 baseband, though, I think that geo can unlock anything apple throws at him
