Lost, Season 6, Final Season Options

I'm not sure if anyone here even watches Lost anymore but final season premiere is near (February 2). I'm actually glad that the series is ending. It's sort of time. Last year was terrific and I'm hoping that many loose ends will be tied up in the next few months.

I know what you mean. Netflix has some seasons in HD (I think 1-3?) in their demand section right now and I started from the beginning a few weeks ago. First off, Lost in HD is goddamn amazing.

Second - you realize (or at least I did) how brilliant the story telling was in the beginning. Each character had their own intricate plot and history but the story of Lost itself was simple - airplane crash survivors in a strange and seemingly distant island. It was so magical and mysterious yet somehow grounded in what could be deemed as realistic.

Season 2 followed the same pattern, to an extent but things got crazy with the introduction of far too many characters. Don't get me wrong, I liked a few of the tailies but all that Anna Lucia shit was ridiculous. The other thing that was ridiculous was the overplayed and stale love triangle between Jack, Kate and Sawyer. Speaking of Kate, season 2 is when I began to lose interest in her in general. Season 2's saving grace? Eko. I STILL miss that motherf*cker.

Season 3 I loved, actually. I won't get into detail, but the season ender devastated me, as I lost (no pun intended) my favorite character.

Season 4 was great in that it introduced "the others" in a way I wasn't expecting at all.

Season 5 was sort of a cluster f*ck. After watching it a few times, I understand more but at the time I felt a psychological whiplash during every episode.
