My computer keeps restarting. It won't let me go to the boot screen, can someone help plz.

Did you open the case and clean it out, as suggested by jcp? Restarting could simply be a problem of overheating. If that didn't/doesn't work, did you try booting from your XP CD to see if you could repair the installation? You could also boot into safe mode if possible, and try to run a virus scan.

Maccabee mang! If you can't get anything to work, you should make an ubuntu live cd and back up your files, or scan for viruses with clamshell. If you can boot into ubuntu it is most likely a HDD failure, or something to do with windows. |
