Pros:
They can't see anything you don't want "them" too. Cons: Stifles creativity and "freedom" of speech (not all that free anymore) Your Ideas? |

yes. my children can wait until middle school or older to know what buttsex is.
I don't think the majority of what parents wish to censor will interfere with creativity, it's usually just along the lines of what they regard as appropriate or not for their children's age. This is discounting the overprotective and unrealistic parents who wish to conceal their children from the rest of the world until they grow to be 50. I just don't think 2 or 3 fewer years of AIM and Xanga would have been detrimental to my life growing up. All it really did anyways was help decrease my productivity and make me more prone to procrastination. |
