First, what is a juvenile, and secondly, no. If teenagers insist they are right all the time, let them take responsibility for their actions.

when did the teenager insist they were right? no one is saying they shouldn't take responsibility for their action, because nobody is saying we should let them free with no consequence. they're saying that being sentenced to your entire life without parole in prison for something you did as a very young person (something that doesn't even have to have harmed or killed anyone) isn't a punishment that fits the crime.

Teenagers always insist they are right.

Do you feel kidnapping deserves a life punishment without parole?

no they don't. i know plenty of teenagers and have been a teenager myself. you have never once as a teenager not insisted you're right? no group of people always does anything so that's a pointless thing to bring into the argument.

no i don't, because kidnapping is too broad of a term, so without knowing the specific event i wouldn't be able to say what would be just or unjust punishment. if someone takes someone else, carts them off, holds them in their backyard for 15 years while they rape them...then yeah sure. if someone has a dispute with their divorced spouse (gf/bf perhaps since we're talking about teenagers) over whether the child is going to stay with them or not, then goes and takes the child and runs off for a period of time and the man/woman reports a kidnapping...then no. i don't really think that person necessarily deserves an entire life in prison without parole. but regardless of what i believed about kidnapping and it's punishment, that wouldn't change anything because kidnapping isn't the solitary reason a juvenille could be sentenced to live in prison without parole.

it depends on the situations. some crimes probably warrant a harsh sentence without parole even for a teenager, but a lot of them i don't think do.
