How many of you guys celebrate Christmas? My mom already has two trees up at her house and still wants to decorate more. My family used to have a lot of traditions, but now that we don't all live under one roof we kind of do our things.
Do you have family traditions around this time of year? Do you go all out and decorate, or could you really care less? Share with me. ![]() ![]() |

I don't really celebrate Christmas. I think it's sort of sad to set one day aside to spend time with all the family and give presents. People can spend time with their family everyday and everyone can be in that jolly mood whenever. Seeing my family is probably my favorite part of the holidays. A lot of my extended family doesn't live close enough to me for us to just take a day to see each other, so it's nice when they have time off around the holidays and we can get together. I understand what you're saying, but I value the time with my family together as a whole more than gifts, for sure. I think what I love the most is when we bring our Christmas tree home. I loooove the smell. This used to be a big thing in my family, but for some reason I'd always end up extremely ill when the tree came home. It turned that I was somehow allergic to pine... so no more real trees for my family haha. We have fake trees, but in the end I guess it's better than going out in freezing weather and cutting a tree down and trying to drag it into the house. |
