wow haven't been in cb in over a month.. anyways..
ok so im saving money to hopefully buy a DSLR camera.. i was aiming towards a Nikon D3000 or a Nikon D5000...
my question is.. do stores offer discounts and stuff for DSLR cameras on black friday??
i know it's a dumb question but i just want to make sure

canon rebel vs. nikon d40 = mac vs pc.
I would have to go for the nikon though.

but i have used both for long periods of time and they are both great.

I took these on a cannon rebel. its great for close up photos and farther away. the d40 is a little more user friendly though.

both are totally un edited. i would say the cannon's raw photos come out better IN THE RIGHT LIGHTING!

and here are some raw photos my brother took on his d40.

(me a few years ago)

he is a better photographer then me though. either way i would suggest taking some photography classes or researching online. manual takes photos a million times better then auto. if you are gonna use auto then dont get a dslr.

those are your two best options. choose wisely my friend.
Nikon D40
Cannon rebel
*choose nikon*

also keep in mind that the lens is what really decideds the look of your photo. but a new lense costs as much as a new camera. also lightroom, an adobe program, can have a lot of effect on your photos. and much more drastic changes then photoshop.

Sources: my bro is a photographer and i have a lot of photographer buddies. and i used a cannon rebel for 2 weeks in africa.
