obviously the overall concept matches and I think the "How do you feel" font is a a nice choice, the elements you selected match with the theme of the design and can be used if used properly. You dont need to tone down anything, just work on blending it in more and making it look more natural, in fact you might need more filters and textures to help out, right now the brushes looked slapped on there. The content arrangement is good as well but the Avril picture looks low quality for a layout, try to find better quality for that as well
