Im designing a dress for a Halloween Costume, and I cant figure out if the color is gray, or grey. Does it matter? How do you spell the color? I know either way, they will know what Im talking about, but now Im curious. Is there a wrong way and a right way to spell the color? I have a marker that says gray, but I could have sworn I saw a crayon that said grey.

Both are acceptable. "Grey" is chiefly a British spelling, whereas "gray" is normally used in American English.
