Ok, so I'm in the IB Diploma program. And I was thinking to myself one day: Can the type of music you listen affect your intelligence? Because, for those of you who know people in the IB Diploma Program, they're the "shit" (Quote from counselor). Not that that's a good thing to be proud of, or whatever. (Read people. I never said it was something to be proud of. Seriously). I digress. So, I thought to myself and calculated that the majority of my class listens to rock (or anything non (mainstrem) rap and/or hip-hop). And that the lower classes (no offense) listen to rap and/or hip-hop. I'm not saying EVERYBODY that listens to rap and/or hip-hop is dumb, or even vice versa (meaning that rock doesn't make you smarter). It was just a thought. What do you guys think?

Correlation does not imply causation. Intelligent students may simply be attracted to different types of music than average students. i graduated from the ib program and never thought i was the shit. we just had to do more work. but anyways, i agree with michael. |
