for a bunch of mac users on this site, was quite surprised to find out there wasn't a topic on this already, anyways, its coming out tomorrow, only $30, new 64-bit, new quicktime, new finder, stacker, etc etc
so who else is getting it |

weird. i swear when i was reading about it in the times it said like $170 to go from tiger to snow leopard and that the $30 only applied to people going from leopard to snow leopard because it was essentially just a refinement to leopard.

weird. i swear when i was reading about it in the times it said like $170 to go from tiger to snow leopard and that the $30 only applied to people going from leopard to snow leopard because it was essentially just a refinement to leopard. That's technically true -- but when you buy a new copy of Mac OS X from Apple, you get the full version (not an "upgrade" version, as with, e.g., Windows), so nothing precludes you from installing Snow Leopard if you only have Tiger. It technically violates your Snow Leopard license, but Apple doesn't make you register for Mac OS X, and Mac OS X doesn't have serial numbers, so it's not like Apple would ever find out. |
