Why does it say subliminal GFX all over it?

also, the font on the parchment looks like it's floating...

I assume you wanted it to look like it was written there.

Besides the text on the parchment, I think the biggest issue is the hand. It's not so much a lack of shadow on the paper as it is a lack of shadows and highlights on the hand itself. The ball it's holding looks like it'd be giving off one hell of a glow, so the skin closest to the ball should be much brighter than the skin on the back of the fingers. You may even want to distort the tips of the fingers a very small bit to give the impression that it's holding the ball (try holding a ball in your own hand; the contact areas of your skin will squish a little).
